Rosa 'Liwa Courtyard' (registered trade name: Liwa™) is an innovative, modern Patio Climbing Rose bred by the renowned Danish rose hybridiser Poulsen Roser as part of their specialty Courtyard® Collection. It is highly celebrated for breaking the rules of traditional climbing roses by flowering densely from the very base of the plant all the way to the top.
Key Characteristics
Classification: Patio Climber / Courtyard Rose. Unlike old-fashioned climbers that get bare and leggy at the bottom ("ugly legs"), Courtyard roses are bred to produce flower-bearing side branches along the entire length of their stems.
The Blooms: Large, vibrant, ruffled semi-double flowers that display a striking, rich orange-red or glowing deep tangerine blend.Fragrance: Releases a light, clean, and delicate fresh scent.
Flowering Habit: Remarkable repeat-blooming power. It flowers heavily and continuously in quick, overlapping waves from June until the first hard frosts of early autumn.
Growth & Size: A compact, tidy, and exceptionally bushy climber reaching an ultimate height of 1.5 to 2 metres (5 to 6.5 feet) and a spread of about 1 metre.
Foliage: Adorned with highly attractive, dense, and glossy dark-green leaves that offer excellent natural resistance to common rose diseases
